History
Precision e-Consulting was founded in February, 2002 by a group of four entrepreneurs who each have a long history in Management and IT, either as officers in their own companies, managers in Fortune 500 IT departments, or senior managers in a system integrator environment. They all met in a prior job, at a leading ‘Big 5’ Business Consultancy. There, they found that room for entrepreneurship doesn’t really exist unless you align with a partner who has the big-ticket clients, or with a vendor who brings in high-Dollar engagements. That just didn’t seem right, given how these consultants tout ‘vendor independence’ and ‘doing what’s right for the client’.
Throughout their consulting careers they believed in
building long-lasting partnerships with their clients, and that
the common goal should be to help clients find the best
solutions for their business challenges. They decided to form a
professional services company that would provide the same or
better service than the larger consulting firms at more
reasonable rates. They would do so by keeping the
organizational overhead lean, by scrapping the ‘Partner’
concept, by taking each member’s skills to market, and by
outsourcing administrative services on demand. To support their
capability to deliver they established a pool of skilled
resources around the country, all of them with similar
professional credentials, spanning a wide range of IT
disciplines.
